Product update - June 2026
This month, we are helping enterprise architects spend less time searching, reporting, and managing data, and more time making decisions. New capabilities include AI-powered architecture assistance, custom report creation, contract management, and improved user lifecycle management.

Answer your questions in seconds with the Enterprise Architecture Assistant
Stop filtering, exporting, and cross-referencing to answer questions you get every day. The Enterprise Architecture Assistant gives you sourced answers from your workspace in plain language, covering risk audits, lifecycle checks, rationalization analysis, and more, in seconds.
Ask a question in any language, and the assistant reads your inventory, connected Confluence pages, and workspace files, and attributes every answer to its source. Nothing changes in your workspace without your explicit approval.
It can also perform structural work: generate capability models, draft architecture decision records, and propose fact sheet updates based on a referenced document. The assistant is available in all workspaces with signed AI terms and assigned AI Units. Access the assistant under "More" in the main navigation bar.
Coming soon: web research, so you can enrich fact sheets, compare technologies, and access vendor news without leaving the assistant.
Build custom reports with your AI assistant
Custom reports should not depend on development resources, and now they do not anymore. Connect the LeanIX MCP server to your IDE and link your preferred AI assistant — GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, or Claude Code. Describe the report you need in plain language, and the assistant generates the code. You preview it against your live workspace data, refine it with follow-up prompts, and publish it directly to your workspace.
Reports are fully aware of your meta model configuration and support the same filters as built-in reports. Setup uses OAuth, so no manual token management is required. To get started, see Set Up Your Environment and Your First Custom Report with AI in the SAP Help Portal.
Reduce risk and control costs with contract management
Missed renewals, hidden costs, and compliance gaps often stem from the same root cause: contract data is stored separately from your IT inventory. Contract management closes that gap. Contract management is a new optional fact sheet type that links vendor agreements directly to your applications. With it, you can:
Track renewals and expirations before deadlines become urgent.
Understand spending per contract and application, and identify redundant agreements.
Capture compliance obligations to support audits and reduce non-compliance risk.
Inform rationalization decisions with full visibility into your contractual commitments.
To get started, activate contract management in the admin area under Optional Features or in the Extension Hub.
Keep ownership data clean when team members move on
When a colleague leaves or changes roles, their fact sheet subscriptions should not linger. Workspace admins can now reassign or remove all subscriptions for a departing user in one step, directly from the administration area.
Users can also review and hand over their own subscriptions from their profile settings before moving on. Additionally, archived users are now clearly marked throughout the product, making ownership gaps easier to spot.
Features in progress
Manage data products as part of your enterprise architecture
Your data products deliver full value only when they are connected to your application landscape. In July, we are releasing two capabilities to build that connection.
A new optional data product fact sheet type links the logical packaging layer of your data directly to the applications that produce and consume it, bridging your data catalogs and your IT inventory. For Collibra customers, data product discovery automates the first step: candidates surface in a dedicated inbox with suggested relationships for review, so nothing lands in your workspace without your approval. Support for additional data catalogs will follow.
Find the right fact sheets faster with semantic search
Natural language search already exists in your workspace, but the quality of results has not always matched the complexity of your questions. In July, semantic search changes that.
Instead of merely translating your input into filters, the new engine understands the meaning behind your question and reasons across relationships and responsibilities. You can ask questions like "Do Spain and France use any common software?" or "Which apps deal with invoice data?" and get results that reflect your workspace context, fact sheet types, and access permissions.
The first release improves search in the MCP server and also benefits customers without AI capabilities enabled. The Enterprise Architecture Assistant and the workspace UI follow in subsequent releases.
Research, compare, and enrich your architecture with live market data
In July, the Enterprise Architecture Assistant will be able to search the public web, so you can bring external information into your architecture work without switching tools or losing context.
You will be able to enrich fact sheets with vendor lifecycle status and technology end-of-life dates, compare products and technologies to support rationalization, and access market news about vendors already in your landscape. Every response includes inline source citations, and nothing changes in your workspace without your explicit approval.
Standardize and classify architecture decisions with dropdown fields
Classifying decisions consistently across a large library requires a structure that free-text fields cannot provide. In the first two weeks of July, single- and multi-select dropdown fields come to architecture decision templates.
Users with the appropriate permissions can define custom dropdown options directly in the template. Teams can classify decisions by line of business, flag documents for an upcoming review board, or apply any category relevant to their governance process.
