Enrich software artifacts with infrastructure data discovered from public cloud environments
We are happy to announce the launch of our Public Cloud integration for LeanIX Value Stream Management (VSM). The integration offers a connection to Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud to help DevOps teams leverage contextualized insights on virtual machines and links software artifacts with their respective cloud runtime environments. This includes links to cloud accounts, underlying cloud services, instance tags and labels, and instance locations.
The integration offers the following new functionality:
Public Cloud Integration can be configured as a self-service
Automatic creation of Fact Sheets of type Compute Environment with instances of Virtual Machines from AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud
Automatic creation of Fact Sheets of type Technology for supported and discovered Public Cloud Services
Automatic creation of Fact Sheets of type Cloud Account for AWS Accounts, Azure Subscriptions, and Google Cloud projects.
Creation of Software Artifact Fact Sheets based on values in AWS, Azure, and GCP for Cloud Tags with configurable categories
Creation of relations between Virtual Machines, Technology, Cloud Account, and Software Artifact Fact Sheets
Extraction of Properties and Cloud Tags for all instances of Virtual Machines
This present version of Public Cloud integration comprises only the first of many sets of features related to the VSM Public Cloud integration. In the future, we will add more Public Cloud resource types and features, such as Cloud Spend Extraction, Container Services, Data Services, and Low Code Services.
