Discontinued support for dot characters in measurement names

As announced on Oct. 12, the REST API now doesn't support dot characters ('.') in the name of measurements for metrics anymore since the dot character has a special meaning to the technology behind the service. To prevent the creation of such measurement names, the service will return an error code 400 from October 28. Customers using a dot in the measurement names have been informed, and we will ensure that any such measurements can be renamed.
