Weekly feature improvement and bugfix summary
Dashboards
We've fixed the error when adding a metrics panel to a dashboard and selecting an objective fact sheet.
Inventory
When entering a lifecycle date on any fact sheet in an incorrect format, an error message appears, and saving the respective subsection is blocked. This prevents falsely thinking that you entered a correct date. Once the date is entered in the correct format, the error disappears and the subsection can be saved.
Diagrams
It is now possible to compare any two diagram versions in the side-by-side view. Navigate to the "Version History" of a diagram via the ellipsis menu (three vertical dots icon) and select the option "Compare changes". You can compare any saved diagram to a previous version, provided that more than one version exists.
The ability to compare draft (unsaved) versions will be implemented later this quarter.
Reports
When you are located in the Asia-Pacific region and work in your workspace, and you change the report's view to "Completion" on a given report, the data is now displayed correctly regardless of the time of day.
Discoveries
When bringing in self-built software into your workspace using self-built software discovery, you can now reference business applications from the manifest file using an external ID. The external ID is an additional option, in addition to the already available options via the fact sheet ID or the "name" attribute. This provides additional convenience if you have established a methodology for using external IDs on the business application level when linking business applications to microservices.
Integrations
Last week, we informed you about an issue with our Confluence integration that affects the automatic creation and updating of smart links from your workspace to Confluence. Over the past days, we have identified that API changes have caused this issue. We are currently implementing an update that will be released in the coming weeks. The update aims to restore the known functionality, allowing smart links to be created/removed again on the "Resources" tab of a linked fact sheet in your workspace. We will notify you once the issue has been resolved.
