Weekly feature improvement & bugfix summary

The following feature improvements have been implemented, and bugs fixed in the last week:

Inventory:

  • A bug has been fixed that caused different interactions on fact sheets to run into an error after a subscription role that had been added to the fact sheet was deleted.

  • Mandatory fact sheet attributes are also visible to users when they have a conditionality defined that the logged-in user has no permission to read, provided that the user has read permissions for the field or relation itself.

Discovery:

  • Every fact sheet originating from a discovery (SAP landscape or SaaS) shows an integration card in the side pane of the fact sheet details page for transparency where data on the fact sheet comes from. The card containing information on the source and type of the discovery integration is visible to all users who have access to the discovery inbox. For discovered SaaS, the card is only shown on application fact sheets. For SAP landscape discovery, the card is shown on the application, IT component, and provider fact sheet, as the full structure of the discovery is always linked.

Catalog:

  • We've enhanced the usability of multiple interactions when linking recommendations from the reference catalog to IT component fact sheets:

    • The search for an entered name during fact sheet creation and on the bulk linking interface of the catalog now considers all entered words for the search (connected with an AND operator) to increase the relevance of search results.

    • An easier-to-find 'Select All' button replaced a checkbox in the table header with the same functionality

    • When a filter has been applied to the inventory before heading into the catalog linking via 'IT Component' in the side pane (e.g., a filter on self-build software), users can permanently bulk ignore all filtered fact sheets for catalog linking with a few clicks.

    • Next to the confidence level (e.g., high, very high), we introduced a more granular confidence score to give more details about the calculated matching confidence

Transformations:

  • Admins can now define additional facet filters on fact sheet fields in a configured transformation template. The filters will be applied in the transformation template and limit the scope of the selectable fact sheets. All available facet filter types are supported, including full-text search and direct fact sheet hits.

This configuration makes it easier for users to select the correct fact sheets for a transformation by admins defining the filter scope of possible options. Example use cases would be to roll out only applications with an active lifecycle, applications only to specific business units of organizations, or to selected business capabilities of hierarchy level 3.

As a next step, we aim to allow admins to define dependencies between fact sheet fields on templates. This will bring all the functionality that users are familiar with, from the predefined transformation templates to the configured ones.
