The introduction of the separate vendor lifecycle moves to March

The feedback we've received after announcing the introduction of vendor lifecycle fields to IT components motivated us to extend the release.

A configuration option will allow you to continue syncing lifecycle information from the reference catalog to the existing fact sheet lifecycle in addition to the new vendor lifecycle. This configuration will be offered for a 6-month transition period, giving you the time to adapt integrations that interact with the lifecycle information.

With this approach, we maintain the goal of separate lifecycles to better consider your individual situations in calculating and surfacing obsolescence risk.

To implement this option, introducing the vendor lifecycle field to the meta model of IT components is postponed to March 19, 2025.
