Redesigned File-based Discovery

Alongside the automated out-of-the-box Discover Integrations and Custom Integrations, SMP sustains a manual data import to detect new SaaS Services, Spend, and Contracts. The File-based Discovery with its (semi-)manual data upload has been completely redesigned.

Data from your SSO, CASB, contract management, financial/expense management, or HR information systems can be filled into templates (xlsx/csv) for each system category, downloadable on the 'File-based Discovery' tab in your workspace settings' 'Discover Sources' panel. The Excel templates include best practices (on the 'ReadMe' tab) and examples helping to understand data mappings.

All uploaded data goes through an instant format validation showing tangible guidance on resolving potential formatting issues. Depending on the data quality and structure of the file, the final import process can take up to 5 business days. During that time, the status is visible in the import history.
