Populating your Service Catalog via a REST API

LeanIX Value Stream Management (VSM) now offers a REST API that allows you to ingest data from systems using a custom integration. With this capability, you can add and enrich entries in your service catalog with data not supported by an ‘out-of-the-box’ integration.

You would typically use the REST API when:

1. You have a system holding general information about a number of your services, and hence want to tap into that source to populate your service catalog quickly.

2. There is metadata within your source system that you deem relevant to show in the context of single service. For example, information about automated security scans of the underlying code or the current SLO adherence of the service.
