Modernization activities optimized the user-perceived performance

While you use SAP LeanIX to tackle the technical debt in your products, we're investing in continuous modernization of our products' architecture, too. Recent activities resulted in a clearly perceivable (up to 20x) reduction in load times with these core capabilities:

  • Reports & diagrams: The side panel, which shows configurable details about fact sheets, preloads data about the fact sheets present in the report or diagram more efficiently, minimizing the time it takes to display the information. Now, 95% of the involved API queries are completed in under 0.19 seconds (down from 4.35), with the most significant noticeable difference in workspaces with a large number of fact sheets.

  • Reports: Enhancing how data is stored in the report's backend service reduced the average response time of requests against the service by 39%. Now, 99.6% of all report queries from all workspaces take less than 5 seconds.

  • Inventory: The mechanism for loading and filtering the central list of all fact sheets in the inventory has been updated, resulting in users being able to immediately start their interactions when the list of fact sheets loads. Data is requested in parallel, so content for components like facet filters and the 'Set your role' dropdown is fetched while users can interact with the inventory items. The changes result in a 5x reduction in inventory load times for all workspaces and significantly better loading times for workspaces with a very large inventory.

  • Subscriptions: Bugfixes and refactoring make changes to subscriptions in the user interface and via automations and integrations that took up to 10s happen within 1s.
