Here's the outlook for May 2025:

Announcement: OR operator and unified search API temporarily paused

While working with early adopters of the OR operator for the inventory and related features like the unified search API, which all depend on the same elements in our product architecture, we have identified an opportunity to elevate your experience through a pivotal infrastructure upgrade. With it, we aim to improve our product's overall performance and reliability for years to come.

Consequently, we'll temporarily pause working on the roadmap items mentioned above to focus on the underlying technology. We're committed to continuing as soon as the upgrade is complete and will share an updated timeline on each at roadmap.leanix.net as quickly as possible.

Update relations in the inventory's table view

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date relations between fact sheets is key to understanding how your organization's architecture supports the business. Edit multiple relations simultaneously directly in the table view—faster updates without spreadsheet imports or switching views.

The updated table view interface includes dropdown selections and search functionalities, allowing you to create, update, or delete relationships and fields on relations without navigating away from the overview. This reduces the need to rely on spreadsheet imports for bulk updates, making day-to-day data maintenance more efficient.

Filter your inventory using natural language

Efficiently using filters in your workspace can be challenging for users not used to the fact sheet attribute names. The breadth and unknown terminology of filter options can lead to slower access to insights and inconsistent data exploration across teams.

With the addition of natural language filtering, to be released in May, users can type what they’re looking for without jargon or training. This will lower the barrier to entry, speed up access to relevant data, and make SAP LeanIX more intuitive for everyone. We aim for results like faster decision-making, broader usage, and empowered users.

Browse fact sheet hierarchies while editing relations

In June, we'll increase the accuracy of selecting the correct related fact sheets—no more guessing or long list scanning. Multi-level hierarchies of fact sheets can make it complicated for users to pick the one they are looking for due to long, concatenated display names from the hierarchy. Similar naming components don't make it any easier.

An additional tree view in the edit mode of relations, next to the current list view, will let you traverse, expand, and collapse hierarchies to find a match quickly and with confidence. The higher levels are always in view without limiting readability.

On top of that, in the standard edit mode, you will be able to add multiple relations simultaneously without opening the previously dedicated 'edit multiple' mode.

      Import transformations from a spreadsheet

Next month, managing large business transformations in workspaces with SAP LeanIX Architecture and Road Map Planning will become much easier. Instead of manually creating each transformation on the fact sheets step by step, uploading extensive transformation data from a spreadsheet will kick-start the initialization.

Like the Excel export and import in the inventory, admin users will be able to download a template, fill the spreadsheet with existing transformation data, and upload it to create the respective transformations in the workspace. All from the new 'Excel Import & Export' tab in the admin area's 'Transformations' section.
