Architecture planning, integration monitoring, and the new survey experience have each required separate, manual steps in the UI. Recent releases close that gap with three new toolsets on the MCP server, letting you drive each workflow from Joule, Claude, Copilot, or any MCP-compatible client without leaving your conversation.

If you’re using progressive MCP tool discovery, relevant toolsets are loaded without explicit configuration. Otherwise, add the following to your MCP server endpoint URL to request the respective tools:

      • ?toolsets=synclog

      • ?toolsets=surveys_v2

      • ?toolsets=roadmap_planning

      Sync Log

Integration run data for the sync log is now available as a dedicated toolset. You can query runs, get a summary of activity over any time period, investigate errors from a specific run, and analyze patterns across your workspace's integration history.

      New surveys experience

The next generation of survey tools has arrived on the MCP server. You can create and distribute surveys, track who has responded, review submitted answers, and write reviewed values back to fact sheets, all through conversation, not only with our Enterprise Architecture Assistant, but also with your AI client of choice.

The surveys v1 MCP tools are deprecated and will be removed on March 31, 2027. Plan your migration before that date.

      Transformations

Planning and maintaining transformations has always been hands-on: identify the initiative, select the affected application, configure the impact type, and keep everything up to date as your architecture evolves. There was no programmatic path for anyone building automated workflows or working through an MCP-compatible client.

A full set of transformation tools is now available. You can search and filter transformations by initiative, status, date range, or affected fact sheets. Creating a transformation automatically generates the correct implied impacts, including lifecycle changes, relation constraints, and validity dates, without manual configuration. Partial updates let you change completion dates or descriptions without touching unrelated fields. A dedicated plan-transformation skill guides you through which type to use for each scenario and how to assemble the inputs. The toolset and skill are available to all workspaces with SAP Architecture and Road Map Planning.
