Keep your tech categories in sync with the latest TBM Taxonomy

As announced in our October newsletter, we updated the reference catalog content for tech categories to the latest version 5.0.1 of the TBM Taxonomy on 17 November. The changes from the previous major version 4 are minor and focused on specific content areas, such as the "Decision Intelligence & Automation" category at level 3, which is now integrated into the new "Artificial Intelligence" category at level 1.

Although the catalog content is now up to date for new imports, we will not change already existing linked fact sheets in your workspace. To keep your fact sheets in sync with the catalog and the latest TBM Taxonomy, we ask you to rename a few categories and then initiate the creation and linking of new tech categories. The detailed steps are described in the SAP Help Portal. It's best to do this shortly before or after the release, but it's not required. You can apply the changes at any time later to reestablish the sync.

If you choose not to act, your tech category fact sheets will remain in the current state of the TBM Taxonomy version 4.

If you have already renamed the tech categories between 4 November and now, there are four additional tech categories that require renaming. Please revisit step 2 of the guide and rename the four tech categories IT Training, Domain Services, Planning & Management Reporting, and Workspace Services.
