Enrich your Service Catalog with Kubernetes information
With this new 'out-of-the-box' integration with Kubernetes, you can now automatically discover the services within your Kubernetes clusters.
After setting up the connector within your Kubernetes clusters, your mapping inbox is automatically populated with the services that are discovered. Then, after mapping these to new or existing entries in your service catalog, the related Kubernetes deployment and cluster details are displayed along with their settings.
This allows you to answer questions such as:
Is my service running in all production clusters?
Has the service been deployed with the settings that the DevOps team was expecting?
Which team is responsible for a specific service within a Kubernetes cluster?
Which version of the operating system and Kubernetes is running on the cluster?
For more details about this feature, please consult the 'Kubernetes integration' section in the LeanIX user documentation.
Please note: Whilst this release communication applies to the newer and current (post June 30th 2022) version of VSM, we continue to support Kubernetes integration for the 'EAM-like version of VSM'.
