ARCHITECTURE AND ROAD MAP PLANNING

Differential view in Interface Circle Map

AUTHOR: LeanIX Product Team

Maintaining control of the interfaces and developing them requires effective planning to introduce, retire and replace Interfaces within the IT landscape. A differential view has been introduced in the Interface Circle Map to support the maintenance and development of these Interfaces. This view provides visuals of all the changes amongst the interfaces based on the Transformation Item or milestones selected. In addition, the visuals also elaborate if a provider or a consumer Interface has been added or removed or remains unchanged in the differential view. The latest iteration of the Circle Map also includes a few additional improvements:

  • Line styles of the report have been updated to display connections with color coding. These color coding clearly distinguish amongst consuming, providing, and bi-directional applications.

  • In Settings, 'Show only changed items' is default selected. Users can deselect the option to view even the unchanged items.
