Benefit from the reference catalog for IT components in all workspaces

Base information for IT component names and descriptions from the reference catalog is now available in all workspaces. Leveraging the recommendations during fact sheet creation and linking existing fact sheets to the catalog levels up the naming standardization of IT components, especially when using the recently released enhanced fact sheet creation form, which highlights the catalog recommendations more than before.

By the way, the opt-out period, during which the new creation form can be deactivated, will be extended until April 30, 2025. At that time, we plan to have the new form available also when editing relations on the fact sheets details page and creating new fact sheets from there on the fly, and we will let you create new users in the workspace while adding subscribers to the form.

Admins can configure which data to sync from the catalog to fact sheets in the admin area's 'Reference Catalog' section on the 'IT Component' tab. 

Workspaces with SAP LeanIX Technology Risk and Compliance will continue to benefit even more from the availability of IT components' lifecycles automatically synced to fact sheets and additional relevant vendor URLs, support types, and policies.
