Benefit from automatically updated products and versions in SAP discovery

As your SAP transformation progresses, your applications and systems change, leading to a constantly evolving as-is architectural landscape. As part of SAP discovery, we now automatically update product and version changes for discovered items in your discovery inbox, ensuring your inventory remains accurate and highlighting when manual review is required. For linked items, when a product or version is updated, changes are processed automatically, syncing your inbox and inventory. If a newly discovered item can’t simply replace an already linked fact sheet (e.g., adding a new component), it’s flagged as “Review needed” so you can manually review. For unlinked items, the inbox automatically displays the latest details.

Typical scenarios where regular updates occur include ECC 6 to S/4HANA transformations, S/4HANA system version updates, and activating system discovery post-go-live. This update makes your inventory a live, reliable source for SAP landscape changes. The functionality is available by default when using SAP discovery (via the Cloud ALM integration) with no additional setup required.
