Weekly feature improvement and bugfix summary
Inventory
Admins can now make fields on relations mandatory attributes, meaning they must be filled before a fact sheet’s quality seal can be approved. For example, you can make the Support Type field mandatory on the relation between an application and a business capability, or require the Usage Type field on the relation between an application and an organisation to be filled in. This gives you more granular control over the data required by your quality definitions.
Integrations
Within SAP discovery, we added an alternative way for admins to connect your workspace to your Cloud Foundry environment, now supporting trusted certificate authentication. Instead of generating, downloading, and uploading a P12 certificate file with a password, you can now configure authentication using X.509 certificate patterns matched through SAP Cloud Identity Services (IAS). This eliminates the need to manage certificate files and passwords entirely: We generate a certificate pattern that you simply paste into your IAS trusted certificate configuration. The result is a more secure, streamlined setup with no credentials to store or rotate. For detailed configuration steps, see the SAP Help Portal.
Architecture decisions
For workspaces with SAP LeanIX Architecture and Road Map Planning, we have made several improvements to architecture decisions:
Templates are now displayed as tabs directly in the decision list. Each template appears as its own tab alongside the "All Decisions" tab, making it easy to switch between the decision types you have defined, such as architecture decision records (ADRs), principles, or guidelines. Each tab includes a counter showing how many decisions exist for that template, and disabled templates with no decisions are automatically hidden to keep your workspace clean.
We have redesigned the template management experience. The left sidebar menu has been replaced with a cog icon (
) for accessing template settings, Templates can now be reordered via drag & drop with full keyboard accessibility.
Templates support a new description field, visible both in the management list and when creating a new template.
The page title has been updated from "Decisions" to "Architecture Decisions," and navigation has been streamlined via breadcrumbs and simplified button labels.
KPIs
When defining KPIs as an admin, you can now duplicate custom KPIs from the list of available KPIs. In the row context menu for any custom KPI, the duplicate action creates a full copy of the KPI’s configuration — including its description, mode, aggregation type, and all filters — and opens it for editing before saving. This makes it quick to create variations of existing KPIs without having to rebuild them from scratch, and adds to the recent improvements to creating and managing KPIs.
Meta model
For admins, we have redesigned the fact sheet permissions page in the meta model configuration. Standard and advanced permissions are now organized into two distinct groups, making it easier for admins to distinguish between role-based permissions and those tied to subscription types or tags. Advanced permissions now display more detail about their conditions, so you can see at a glance when and why additional access is granted. The configuration flow for subscription-type permissions has also been updated to reflect the full granularity level, enabling both bulk operations and more precise control over individual permission rules.
Translations
We are continuing to enhance the quality and consistency of the German‑language experience in our product. During the rest of the first quarter, we will finalize updates to address translation gaps and ensure all phrasing is accurate, clear, and consistent. Starting Q2, you will begin seeing these updates. We will release improvements in stages during the first part of the quarter as each group of reviewed and approved changes is ready. Once all improvements are available, we will share an update. As these updates become available, your feedback is very important. If you notice anything that is incorrect or could be improved as the new translations appear, please let us know. Thank you for your continued support.
