Answer architecture questions with curated catalog data, directly from your AI assistant

The reference catalog is now accessible through the MCP server and the Enterprise Architecture Assistant, so you get accurate, catalog-based answers from AI agents rather than web results.

Until now, catalog data was accessible only through the workspace UI. AI assistants had no way to search or explore it, which meant answers about product metadata, lifecycle dates, and technology capabilities depended on web search.

AI agents, including the Enterprise Architecture Assistant, can now search catalog items by name and retrieve details such as description, provider, hosting type, and lifecycle dates. You can ask which applications in your inventory have MCP support listed in the catalog but not yet activated in your workspace, or enrich fact sheets directly using catalog data as a first source before falling back to web research. For SAP-specific questions, the Enterprise Architecture Assistant can additionally draw on SAP reference architecture data to answer questions such as which solution components are mandatory for a given business capability in a cloud deployment.

Previously limited to applications and business capabilities in the MCP server, catalog access now extends to IT components and business contexts and is available in the Enterprise Architecture Assistant for the first time.
