Weekly feature improvement and bugfix summary
Inventory
We have fixed an issue where the quality seal could not be approved on a fact sheet when a relation was intentionally set to “Leave Empty”, and a field on that relation was configured as a mandatory attribute.
Reports
The World Map report visualizes your IT landscape on a map. SAP LeanIX provides three predefined World Map reports: Application sourcing, Application usage, and IT component location, each based on location fields on the IT component and organization fact sheet types. You can also define custom fields of type "location" on any fact sheet type to extend this to other parts of your landscape.
Previously, using a custom location field in one of the predefined reports required naming the field exactly "location" and contacting our support team to configure the report. The three pre-defined reports now include a location dropdown in the toolbar that automatically discovers all fields of type "location" available for the report's fact sheet type, whether defined directly on the fact sheet, on a relation, or on a related fact sheet. If you need a World Map report for a fact sheet type not covered by the pre-defined reports, please reach out to our support team. Additionally, the Zoom and View controls have moved from the left side of the toolbar to the right.
Diagrams
We updated the data tab in the diagram editor sidebar. When a single linked fact sheet is selected, a new info block at the top shows the clickable fact sheet’s name, along with its type, tags, and shape template controls.
SBOM
In workspaces with SAP Technology Risk and Compliance, you can now search for SBOM library components by license name or ID via the REST API and the MCP server. For each matching component, the response includes metadata, license details, and links to the owning teams and microservices. This makes it possible to automate license compliance workflows, for example, when gathering evidence for DORA, ISO 27001, or SOC 2 audits, without manually exporting from the SBOM explorer.
Performance
We have improved the performance of fact sheet queries that traverse deep relational structures. Queries in large workspaces with complex, highly connected data models that previously took more than 10 seconds to process now run 20%-70% faster. The improvement applies to both API queries and UI interactions.
